You’re probably thinking, sure wellness is great and all but I am in the postpartum trenches and just need to figure out how to take care of my baby, my own wellness will come one day.
I have been there, in survival mode with each of my own postpartum journeys. The one thing I have learned though, is even when it feels impossible, it is so important to prioritize your own health and wellness. It can be something super simple: like showering and doing a simple skin care routine, going for a solo walk in the sunshine, or grounding your body by walking barefoot in the grass (maybe not this time of year if you live in a cold climate).
Clean swaps to help love on your skin postpartum. Because feeling refreshed postpartum is so important when you are running on low sleep My favorite skincare brand postpartum is Primally Pure. They provide clean products you can feel confident using even if your baby decides to eat your face (wait… is that just my kid?). The ingredients are breastfeeding safe, so there’s no need to read a bunch of labels. You’re now able to be confident in your skin because you know what you’re putting on it.
P rimally Pure
The Plumping Mask - makes you feel like you’re at the spa! It has helped me feel so much better in my postpartum.
Everything balm - can be used for literally everything . Itchy/dry skin postpartum, baby skin, dry hands, irritated face. It’s a multipurpose must have staple
Blue Tansy deodorant - the PP body odor can be no joke and out of all the clean deodorant options this one has by far been my favorite.
Did you know that it can take years to fully rebuild your nutrient stores after having a baby and breastfeeding? It’s so important to focus on not only a nourishing diet, but also intentional supplementation which can help you feel your best, even when running on little sleep. Here are some products to love for mom (and baby):
Earthley
Magnesium lotion for better sleep.
Nourish her naturally is a staple for me but all their tinctures are great
Putting extra focus on protein postpartum can help you with healing, blood sugar balance and re-pleat your body of key nutrients! My two go to favorites: collagen and bone broth powder. Both easy buttons for getting in more protein which is important for postpartum healing
P erfect Supplements
Collagen - Love using to add to smoothies or morning coffee
Bone Broth Powder - to add to rice or in a pinch when I don’t have any on hand for soups.
An all around great wellness tool to add postpartum! It’s a bit of a splurge but so many benefits of adding RLT in postpartum and having it as part of your families wellness tool box
Reduces inflammation and great for wound healing. Can be shown to help with hair health and regrowth. RLT can help adjust circadian rhythm- use in the morning when first waking up and evening when going to sleep. It is important to maximize the sleep you are getting! (This link saves you!)
